PARISH SUPPORT Over the weekend of September 23rd, our parish community contributed $4,976 in ordinary support, $899 for religious education (CCD), $646 for St. Leo's School, $138 for the Capital Improvement Fund and, $22 for phase 1 of winter fuel. We rely on parishioners to notify us if there are patients to be visited. Please keep the Rectory informed. Due to the new confidentiality guidelines for Leominster hospital, the hospital will no longer be able to notify us when parishioners are in the hospital. Unless you specifically ask the chaplain to contact us, we will not know of your admission. Therefore, we ask that you please call us if you would like a visit while in the hospital. Alfred Loro thanks everyone who contributed to the special Mission Collection recently for the Catholic Church in South Sudan. The amount received was $2,642 and these funds will go a long way in helping the desperate people of that area where 2.5 million who have already died in war.   CATHOLIC SCHOOLS The annual appeal for Catholic Schools will take place on the weekend of September 29th - 30th. All funds received in the collection remain in our parish to benefit St. Leo's School. It is part of the mission of the entire church to support our Catholic schools and we at St. Leo's have done so most willingly and generously. If 11 donors pledge $2,500 over five years, we will attain our goal.   BAZAAR Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, Nichols Street, Gardner will hold its 53rd Annual Bazaar, for the benefit of Holy Rosary School on October 12th, 13th, & 14th. Parishioners are asked to volunteer to spend an hour or a half-hour in Church because the exposed Blessed Sacrament should never be unattended.
